For large refrigerated trucks, handling palletized cargo is often a major operational challenge. This is mainly due to the extended internal body length—frequently exceeding 10 meters—combined with strict thermal insulation requirements. As a result, side door openings are minimized or even eliminated in many designs to maintain cooling efficiency.

Under these conditions, accessing cargo positioned deep inside the cargo box becomes difficult. Forklifts are often unusable due to space limitations, while manual handling with pallet jacks or hand carts is labor-intensive, inefficient, and physically demanding for operators.

However, this challenge does not require a complete redesign of the refrigerated truck body or the adoption of expensive unloading systems. Instead, it can be effectively solved through a low-cost yet highly efficient upgrade: an optimized flooring system.

Grooved Aluminum Flooring System – A Proven Solution

The grooved aluminum flooring system is one of the most practical and field-tested solutions for improving pallet movement efficiency inside refrigerated truck bodies.

  • Its key innovation lies in a specially engineered floor surface featuring longitudinal anti-slip ribs combined with multiple integrated guide grooves designed for pallet movement. These grooves are capable of supporting sliding carriers that allow pallets to be moved smoothly and with minimal friction, even in deep cargo areas.
  • In addition to facilitating cargo handling, the guide channels also function as drainage paths, helping maintain hygiene and preventing water accumulation inside the refrigerated box.

Structural and Material

  • High-strength 6xxx series aluminum profiles

Manufactured from corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant aluminum alloy, ensuring long service life even under frequent loading cycles and low-temperature environments.

  • Precision extrusion technology

The flooring panels are produced using high-precision extrusion processes, resulting in a flat, smooth, and dimensionally stable surface that enhances operational efficiency.

  • Modular longitudinal assembly design

The floor is composed of multiple full-length extruded aluminum sections arranged longitudinally and mechanically fastened together using flat-head stainless-steel bolts.

  • Weld-free construction

The absence of welding ensures a completely smooth sliding surface with no obstruction, allowing pallets to move effortlessly across the entire cargo length.

Industry Adoption and Proven Performance

The flooring system has been widely adopted by truck body manufacturers across Europe, Australia, and South America. It has been extensively tested in real-world logistics operations and has consistently demonstrated improvements in loading efficiency, cargo handling safety, and operational reliability.
