FRP (GRP) honeycomb panels are lightweight composite panels manufactured using an adhesive lamination process. They feature a polypropylene (PP) honeycomb core and facing sheets made of FRP—a composite of thermosetting resin and glass fiber. This composite design, combining the honeycomb core with high-strength FRP facings, achieves a balance of low weight, structural strength, and rigidity, making the panels suitable for applications requiring weight reduction, reinforcement, and high structural performance.

The Superior Performance of FRP Honeycomb Panels

  • Lightweight and High-Strength

Features a biomimetic honeycomb structure design that significantly enhances structural strength and mechanical performance while effectively reducing overall weight.

  • Flat Surface

Utilizes thermosetting FRP sheets, resulting in a flat surface and a high-quality overall finish.

  • Structural Stability

Maintains excellent structural stability under standard high and low-temperature conditions, effectively resisting issues such as delamination, cracking, and blistering.

  • Durability

Offers excellent water and moisture resistance and withstands corrosion from common chemicals, meeting the requirements for long-term use.

FRP Skin

FRP sheets offer numerous advantages, including high hardness, waterproofing, thermal insulation, and corrosion resistance. As a material with excellent weatherability, it serves as the inner and outer facing for honeycomb panels. It withstands diverse outdoor conditions—such as rain, wind, sun exposure, snow, and dust—and is particularly well-suited for high-salinity marine environments. Available in a wide range of colors, the material supports various surface treatments to meet specific requirements, such as gel coating, embossing, and the application of gravel granules.

Polypropylene Honeycomb Core

Polypropylene honeycomb core can choose different hole diameters and thicknesses. Honeycomb cores of different densities provide different performance: such as compressive strength, bending strength, etc.

TOPOLO Processing Capabilities

TOPOLO not only possesses the capability to manufacture extra-large honeycomb panels (up to 12 meters in length—currently limited primarily by maximum container shipping dimensions) but also offers custom fabrication to meet specific project requirements regarding shape and size. Furthermore, TOPOLO supplies the various components and accessories needed for panel assembly, thereby streamlining the workflow and minimizing the need for additional processing or separate procurement. This delivers a “one-stop” purchasing experience, allowing for immediate assembly upon delivery.
