FRP Facing & XPS Foam
Before understanding this composite panel, let’s first understand what is FRP sheet and XPS foam.
- FRP is the abbreviation of fiberglass reinforced plastic, which is a composite material of glass fiber and resin. The surface of TOPOLO FRP is treated with a unique gel coat, and the glass fiber type and arrangement are also diverse to meet different application requirements.
- XPS, the abbreviation of extruded polystyrene foam board, is a low-density thermal insulation material. TOPOLO XPS foam is a rigid closed-cell material with excellent compression resistance and waterproof properties.

The top and bottom layers of the composite board are gel-coated FRP sheets, and the middle layer is XPS (extruded polystyrene) foam board, which are composited into a panel using adhesive in a vacuum environment.

Optimization and Processing
Weathering Treatment
- Add flame retardants and anti-aging agents to increase the safety and service life of the composite panel.
Embedded Reinforced Structural Materials
- For some XPS sandwich panels that need to increase strength, reinforced structural materials such as timber, aluminum tubes, FRP tubes, high-strength plastic bars, etc. will be embedded inside.
CNC Machining
- Cutting, drilling and grinding of composite panels according to drawings.
