Flat Gelcoat FRP Sheets
For RVs, Trucks, Yachts
Introduction
FRP sheet (fiberglass reinforced plastic) is a thermoset composite material formed by the composite processing of synthetic resin and fiberglass. As a new type of material, FRP sheets have replaced traditional metal materials in many fields. The diameter of fiberglass is minimal, generally less than 10 microns, and it is a brittle material that is easily damaged, broken, and corrupted. Most fiberglass-reinforced materials exist in the form of mats and fabric.
The Main Advantages of FRP Sheets
☑ Light Weight: The relative density is between 1.5~2.0g/cm³, which is only 1/4~1/5 of carbon steel.
☑ High Strength: The tensile strength of the FRP sheet is close to or even exceeds that of carbon steel.
☑ Anti-corrosion: FRP is a good corrosion-resistant material and has good resistance to the atmosphere, water, and general concentrations of acids, alkalis, salts, and various oils and solvents.
☑ Electrical Insulation: FRP is an excellent insulating material and can still maintain good dielectric properties at high frequencies.
☑ Thermal Insulation: FRP has low thermal conductivity, which is 1.25~1.67kJ/(m·h·K) at room temperature, which is only 1/100~1/1000 of that of metal. It is an excellent thermal insulation material.
☑ Designability: Various structural FRP products can be flexibly designed according to needs.

Basic Structure of Gelcoat FRP Sheets
- Gelcoat
The high-quality gel-coat improves the UV resistance and color durability of the material, and at the same time increases the gloss of the panel surface, so that the surface will not have problems such as pores, cracks, scratches, etc., resulting in a very beautiful and eye-catching appearance. Gelcoats are also more resistant to corrosion and can be cleaned.
- Fiberglass
Fiberglass mat or fiberglass fabric can be well combined with resin, endowing FRP with high strength, lightweight and toughness. Greatly improved the impact resistance of the product.
- Resin
FRP uses high-quality thermosetting resin, which has excellent adhesion, no bubbles, and is not easy to crack.
TOPOLO offers two basic types of gelcoat flat FRP sheets: mat based and fabric based.
- The arrangement of fiberglass is random, and it has good cost performance. Sometimes, in order to better integrate with the foam system, a layer of non-woven fabric is pasted on the bottom.
- Fiberglass yarns are interwoven in 90° direction, which can increase the ultimate tensile strength and flexural strength of the FRP layer, and the sheet made of glass fiber cloth is smoother.
TOPOLO Supplies Multiple Surface-treated Fiberglass Sheets
TOPOLO offers gel-coat flat fiberglass sheets with glossy, matt, stone, weave, bubble, and imitation leather surface patterns., if you need other patterns, please send us samples or detailed documents.

Application of FRP Sheets
The following are just some of the applications of fiberglass sheets, which are also widely used in furniture, wind turbine blades, solar back panels, billboards, shelves, boat hulls, signs, etc.
- FRP sheets are widely used in the skins of roof panels, side wall panels, floor panels, and door panels for RVs.
- Refrigerated trucks and Dry Freight trucks suitable for transporting various dry goods, fruits, vegetables, fresh meat, cold drinks, etc. FRP materials are used in vehicle linings, roof panels, wall panels and floors.
- It is used for mobile houses, mobile toilets, guard booths, etc. Fiberglass sheets are combined with other core materials to form lightweight and strong composite panels that are lightweight and durable.
- More and more new yachts will use FRP composite materials as building materials above the deck, such as wall panels, floors, ceilings, etc.
Fiberglass Sheets for Composite Panels
Sandwich panels composed of fiberglass sheets and various core materials such as foam, honeycomb, and wood panels, combine thermal insulation and strong properties. It replaces traditional metal sandwich panels in many fields.
Choose FRP Sheets at TOPOLO
TOPOLO is a professional glass fiber-reinforced material manufacturer, our Gelcoat FRP sheets are high-quality materials for making all kinds of composite panels. TOPOLO factory covers an area of tens of thousands of square meters, with a daily production area of more than 10,000 square meters. Our FRP sheets are very popular in the international markets and currently sell well in Europe, South America, North America, the Middle East, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa, and other markets.
Note: FRP sheets are mostly packaged in rolls, and can also be cut to specific sizes according to your needs.
During long-distance transportation, violent shaking and collisions will cause damage to the product. In order to ensure that the product reaches its destination safely, we use iron frames, wooden pallets, etc. to fix the products. Or customize the packaging according to your needs.
New FRP Sheets – CFRT Sheets
TOPOLO has developed a new type of thermoplastic FRP sheet – CFRT (Continuous Reinforced Glass Fiber Thermoplastic), which is laminated with multiple layers of thermoplastic unidirectional prepreg tapes, which are more durable. If you want to get a better product experience you can try this material.
- Continuous fibers provide much more strength and stiffness.
- Excellent impact resistance and shear performance.
- Lightweight: 35% lighter than FRP sheets with the same volume.
- Strong tenacity: 100% more than GRP sheets.
- Low cost: 20% lower than the cost of GRP sheets.
- Thermal insulated and corrosion-resistant.
- Easy processing and assembling.
- Non-poisonous and odorless.
- 100% recyclable.
