
Thermoplastic honeycomb panels are fiberglass reinforced polypropylene honeycomb core composite panels. Its upper and lower facing sheets are multi-layer continuous fiberglass and polypropylene resin composites. The core material is polypropylene plastic with a honeycomb structure (We call this composite CFRT sheet). The core and face materials are laminated together after thermal bonding.
Facing – CFRT Sheets
CFRT (Continuous Glass Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic) sheet is a new type of thermoplastic FRP material developed by TOPOLO. It is made of multiple layers of continuous fiberglass unidirectional tapes that are thermally fused together. The unidirectional prepreg tapes of each layer are interwoven in different directions (mostly at 0°, 90°). Due to the application of continuous glass fiber, CFRT sheet has very good strength and rigidity, so it does not need to be made very thick (mostly under 1mm) and still has good impact resistance, which is not available in ordinary thermosetting FRP sheets.

Core – Polypropylene Honeycomb
The honeycomb core of the thermoplastic honeycomb panel is a high-quality polypropylene material with a round hole design. Polypropylene is a thermoplastic synthetic resin with excellent performance, which has chemical resistance, heat resistance, electrical insulation, high strength, high wear resistance and other properties.
