Description
Balance of Insulation, Strength, and Lightweighting
By replacing traditional metal or wood embedded structures with fiberglass profiles, the thermal insulation performance, structural strength, lightweighting, and durability of PU sandwich panels can be balanced, providing a more stable and durable internal reinforce
- Lightweight and High Strength
Using fiberglass I-type profiles as the internal reinforcing structure of the panel effectively improves the structural strength, bending stiffness, and load-bearing capacity of the sandwich panel while adding only a small amount of weight, achieving a good combination of lightweight and high strength.
- Reduces Thermal Bridges
Compared to metal embedded structures such as steel and aluminum, fiberglass profiles have a lower thermal conductivity, effectively reducing the thermal bridging effect caused by the internal reinforcing structure. This allows the PU foam insulation layer to maintain more continuous thermal insulation performance and reduces unnecessary heat transfer.
- Rotting-Resistant and Deformation-Resistant
Compared to traditional wooden embedded components, fiberglass profiles will not rot, mold, or undergo significant expansion and deformation due to water absorption. They maintain good dimensional stability even in humid and thermally cyclical environments, reducing the risk of bulging, cracking, or delamination of the sandwich panel caused by internal structural changes.
- Fiberglass Profiles Enhance Bending Strength
Good bending stiffness can be achieved with relatively low material weight. When fiberglass profiles are integrated with PU foam and panel skin to form a composite structure, the structural stability and load-bearing capacity of the panel can be further improved.
Wide Range of Applications
This type of panel can be widely used in refrigerated truck compartments, dry cargo compartments, RVs, special vehicles, mobile cabins, cold storage, insulated doors, modular buildings, and industrial composite enclosures—fields with high requirements for lightweighting, thermal insulation, and structural strength.
