Description


CFRT (Continuous Fiber Reinforced Thermoplastic) sheets are used to replace conventional FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) sheets as the skins of sandwich panels. Combined with a high-performance PU foam core, they create a lightweight, strong, impact-resistant, and durable composite panel solution for refrigerated truck bodies.
CFRT + PU Sandwich Construction
The combination of CFRT skins and a PU foam core creates an efficient sandwich composite structure. The CFRT outer skins primarily withstand tensile, compressive, and impact loads, while the PU foam core provides thermal insulation and structural support, allowing the complete panel to achieve high structural efficiency at a relatively low weight.

- Lighter Panel Weight
CFRT offers an excellent strength-to-weight and stiffness-to-weight ratio, allowing the overall panel weight to be reduced while maintaining the structural performance required for refrigerated truck bodies. A lighter body helps reduce vehicle tare weight, providing greater potential for increased payload capacity and improved transportation efficiency.
- High-Strength Continuous Fiber Reinforcement
Unlike conventional short-fiber reinforced materials, CFRT uses continuous fibers as reinforcement, enabling loads to be transferred and distributed more effectively throughout the skin. This provides excellent tensile strength, structural rigidity, and dimensional stability, creating a strong and reliable protective skin for refrigerated truck bodies.
- Excellent Impact Resistance
Refrigerated truck bodies are frequently exposed to impacts and collisions during loading, unloading, transportation, and daily operation. CFRT thermoplastic composite skins offer excellent toughness and impact resistance, helping absorb and distribute impact energy while reducing the risk of cracking and localized panel damage.
- Excellent Fatigue Resistance
During long-term operation, truck bodies are continuously subjected to road vibration, structural deformation, and repeated loading. CFRT skins provide good fatigue resistance and, when bonded with the PU foam core, contribute to improved long-term durability and structural reliability under demanding transportation conditions.
