Description
TOPOLO offers polypropylene honeycomb panels in a wide range of cell sizes, densities, and dimensions to meet different structural and application requirements. As a lightweight structural core material, these honeycomb cores are used in composite panels that are widely applied in trucks, construction, furniture, marine applications, packaging, interior decoration, and other industries.
Structural Composition
The honeycomb panels are lightweight structural sandwich panels made by laminating black continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastic (CFRT) skins with a polypropylene honeycomb core. The CFRT skins provide high tensile strength, stiffness and impact resistance, while the PP honeycomb core offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio.
Product Features
The CFRT skin provides good resistance to surface wear and abrasion, making the panel suitable for applications subject to frequent handling and friction.
The combination of continuous fiber reinforcement and a lightweight honeycomb core provides high bending stiffness while maintaining low overall weight.
CFRT skins offer good impact resistance and help the panel withstand shocks and mechanical loads during transportation and daily use.
The polypropylene honeycomb core significantly reduces panel weight compared with conventional solid panels, helping achieve lightweight structural designs.
Polypropylene is inherently resistant to water and moisture. The honeycomb structure does not absorb water like traditional wood-based cores, making the panel suitable for humid and wet environments.
Application Industries – Lightweight Subflooring
By laminating different types of surface materials onto the honeycomb panel, composite sandwich panels can be produced to meet various performance and appearance requirements. These panels can be used as base structural panels for floors, walls, and roofs in RVs, trucks, yachts, mobile homes, and other applications.
