Duraplate HDPE Sandwich Panels

HDPE sandwich panels are composite materials composed of high-density PE (polyethylene) plastic as the core material and aluminum, galvanized steel or stainless steel as the skin. In many countries it is also known as “duraplate”. It has the characteristics of high strength and high hardness.

Compared with other sandwich panels with foam, honeycomb, and plywood cores, duraplate can absorb higher impact forces while maintaining structural stability.

Product Advantages

  • Light and thin: Although HDPE has a higher density, it has a higher strength and sandwich structure, so the thickness can generally be less than 1cm.
  • Impact resistance: The surface of HDPE sandwich panels is made of high-strength steel sheets or aluminum sheets, which have excellent impact resistance and can maintain integrity when impacted or impacted, and are not easy to break or deform.
  • Corrosion resistance: HDPE is a material with good corrosion resistance, so HDPE sandwich panels can be used for a long time in harsh environments without damage.
  • Environmental protection: HDPE is a recyclable material, so HDPE sandwich panels can be recycled and reused after use to reduce the impact on the environment.
  • Easy to process: HDPE sandwich panels are easy to process and customize, and can be cut, bent, folded, etc. according to specific needs.

Specifications

  • Facing: Galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.
  • Core Material: HDPE (high density polyethylene)
  • Size: 1220*2440mm, or Customized.
  • Thickness: 6~12mm, or Customized.

Schematic Diagram

  • Facing: Choose different facing materials based on project requirements. Aluminum facings are lighter and more corrosion-resistant; galvanized steel facings are strong and affordable; stainless steel facings are strong, durable and look gorgeous.
  • Core: HDPE board has high density (0.941~0.960kg/m³). It has good heat resistance and cold resistance (-50~+90℃), good chemical stability, high rigidity and toughness, and high mechanical strength. And these polypropylene plastics are odorless, non-toxic, and recyclable.
