Aluminum Laminated XPS Foam Core Sandwich Panels

Aluminum laminated XPS sandwich panels are composite materials typically used in construction and other applications where insulation and lightweight yet sturdy structural parts are needed. The aluminum sheets and XPS foam together form a sandwich-like structure, where the XPS foam acts as an insulating layer between the two aluminum sheets. The panel is lightweight, structurally stable and has good thermal insulation properties.

Basic Structure

  • Aluminum Sheets: The outer layers of the sandwich panel are made of aluminum sheets. Aluminum is used because of its lightweight nature, corrosion resistance, and strength.
  • XPS (Extruded Polystyrene) Core: The core of the sandwich panel is made of XPS foam. XPS is a type of rigid, closed-cell foam insulation. It offers excellent thermal insulation properties and high compressive strength. XPS foam is moisture-resistant and provides a good balance of insulation and weight-bearing capabilities.

Product Advantages

  • Strength and Lightweight: Aluminum sheets provide the board’s strength, while XPS foam keeps the panels lightweight. This combination makes the panel strong enough for many applications without adding too much weight.
  • Excellent thermal insulation properties: XPS foam has excellent thermal insulation properties and can effectively reduce heat transfer. This makes it very popular in applications where thermal insulation is required, such as construction and refrigeration equipment.
  • Corrosion resistance: Aluminum sheets have excellent corrosion resistance, allowing aluminum sheet XPS foam panels to be used for a long time in humid or harsh environments without being corroded.
  • Ease of workability: It is relatively easy to work with and can be cut, shaped and installed as needed. This makes it flexible in areas such as construction and decoration.
  • Environmentally friendly: XPS foam is usually a recyclable material, and aluminum sheets can also be recycled.
  • Weather resistance: Aluminum sheets have good weather resistance and can maintain stable performance under the influence of sunlight, rain and other natural elements, making them suitable for outdoor applications.

Customized Aluminum Skin XPS Foam Sandwich Panels

TOPOLO customizes aluminum composite panels with excellent performance for your project. You can choose different specifications of thickness, length, width, color, etc.

We use high-quality materials and advanced production equipment.

Corrosion-resistant Aluminum Skin

It uses corrosion-resistant and scratch-resistant aluminum alloy sheets as the skin, which will not peel off or discolor after long-term use.

Closed Cell Rigid Foam Board

The closed-cell XPS board not only has low thermal conductivity, good thermal insulation effect, but is also waterproof.

Vacuum Compression

The use of vacuum compression technology enhances the bonding strength of the aluminum skin and XPS foam board, avoiding problems such as delamination, warping, and bulging.

CNC Machining

High-precision CNC machining is used to modify the panel to achieve the required size. We use 5-axis synchronous CNC to reduce errors to a minimum.

Application Fields

  • Buildings: These panels are commonly used on building exteriors, roofs and walls to provide insulation and structural support.
  • Transportation: They are used to make lightweight components in the automotive, aerospace and marine industries, reducing overall vehicle weight and improving fuel efficiency.
  • Industrial: These panels are suitable for industrial environments where lightweight insulating panels are required for a specific purpose.
  • Cold Storage: Aluminum XPS sandwich panels are used in cold storage facilities to maintain a stable temperature and prevent heat transfer.
  • Modular construction: Due to their lightweight and insulating properties, they are used in the construction of prefabricated and modular buildings.
